Member Services

Serve as receptionist for calls & emails and ensure member and guest arrival experience in clubhouse lobby.  Provide concierge level service to private club members.  Coordinate wellness spa, fitness center, pool and marina appointments.  Oversee reservations for club's transportation vehicle and club's on-site lodging & accommodations.

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal

Houseman

Driving requirements: golf carts, shuttle vehicles, member cars, courtesy van, valet services.  Assist with luggage at guest arrival, dog walking and grocery delivery.  Serve as deck hand at clubhouse wharf and assist with boat docking.  Housekeeping responsibilities include but are not limited to: general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows, trash removal, bedding turn down service, laundry and restocking towels at pool, men's & women's locker rooms, fitness center, wellness spa, tennis courts and outside golf operations. Candidate will also be involved and trained in club's 'lowering of the flag' ceremony which takes place every Friday evening. Candidate should be confident, articulate and professional when interacting with members and staff. Candidate should be self-motivated, follow instructions, efficient and possess ability to anticipate and tend to member's needs.

Drivers

Responsible to operate the club's courtesy vehicle and shuttle clients to locations up 150 miles from property.  Candidates should have a valid Rhode Island Driver's License and clean driving record.  Must be professional, courteous and presentable when in transit with clients.  Driving routes made by appointment with pickup/drop off times including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.

Lifeguard

Supervises swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.  Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary. Provide Service support with member arrival, pool restrooms & changing areas.

Camp Counselor

Supervise, coordinate and execute kids programs & events for children ages 4-12.  Programs include 'Camp Aquidneck' summer camp, Family Nights (every Tuesday), Fun Thursdays (Thursdays 3:00-5:00 pm) and Kid's Club (evening childcare support).

Housekeeper

Responsible for cleaning 30 private residences at the Clubhouse & Lodge. Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to: making beds, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, changing towels, re-arranging furniture, and attending to guest’s needs. Housekeepers must possess good cleaning skills, be able to work with basic cleaning chemicals, be dependable, work well with others, be willing to help other departments, be able to lift heavy objects, and always be pleasant towards members & guests. Additionally, housekeepers must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays and Evenings.

Rounds Chef

  • Assets in al a carte and function operations
  • Maintain a high-level of food quality and safety
  • Help train line cooks and prep cooks
  • Ability to work day and night shifts
  • Club experience is a plus
  • Culinary degree is preferred
  • Serve Safe required
  • Reports directly to Executive Chef

Line Cook

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow Executive Chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Follow food safety precautions and regulations
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers

Dining Room Shift Supervisor

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Ensuring a quality member experience by managing all aspects of the daily operations
  • Opening and closing of restaurant. Monitoring daily setup/breakdown of the restaurant including side work responsibilities of FOH staff.
  • Front door management and support
  • Table section maintenance and support
  • Member intervention, table touches, food allergy awareness and support
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with other managers and subordinates
  • A role model as it relates to training, coaching and hands on development of others, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.  Specific areas to include: Member Service, Etiquette, Food and Beverage Knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role in an upscale, high volume establishment
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Strong computer skills (JONAS, Outlook, Word, Excel)

Bartender

Ideal candidates will be energetic, highly motivated, and have a passion for hospitality where pleasing our members comes naturally. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking skills, and be willing to work as part of a team.

A minimum of 2 years of previous casual fine dining bartender experience is preferred. Candidates must be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. We require our bartending staff to hold an alcohol safety certification in RI.

Server

Ideal candidates should be energetic, highly motivated, and have a passion for hospitality where pleasing our members comes naturally. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking skills, and be willing to work as part of a team.  A minimum of 2 years of previous casual fine dining server experience is preferred. Candidates must be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. We require our server staff to hold an alcohol safety certification.

Host/ Hostess

Presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host/Hostess also greet members upon arrival, inform members of their wait time, monitor a reservation list, enter members names into the computer system, show members to their table and bid members farewell as they leave.

Experience – preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.

Event House Team

As a member of event house team, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of any event spaces, rooms, hallways, storage and service areas. You must routinely inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations. You are required to set up the event space per the specification of a banquet events order, and then reset the room to its original state after the event has concluded. During the event, duties include assisting servers, transporting tables and equipment, reporting maintenance issues to management, and providing requested information to event patrons.

Buser

Responsible for bussing, cleaning and properly resetting tables. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors dining room tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards (i.e. proper table symmetry, non-streaked glassware, etc.)
  • Prepares tables for each party of members by removing dirty dishes and linens, sweeping the floor and wiping seats around the table, and resetting the table
  • Assist servers in pre-bussing tables, as needed
  • Assists other employees and members as needed to ensure teamwork.
  • Transports clean dishware from the dish area to ensure adequate supplies remain on hand during shift.
  • Fills ice bins with ice and empties trash as needed.
  • Preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.

Expo

Managing all incoming tickets from the servers and communicating with kitchen staff on orders. • Running food to tables according to seat numbers. • Restocking, cleaning, and organization of expo and to go area.

Experience – preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.
