CURRENT POSITIONS:

Camp Counselor

  • Works with Camp Coordinators, Senior Counselors to direct 10-15 campers through daily activities
  • Creates games, crafts and activities for the campers to do, and assists them throughout the activity
  • Facilitates lunch procedure, including: directing tables to get food in order; helping campers get food; toasting bagels; managing bathroom visits; and ensuring campers put dishes away, throw out their trash, and wipe down their tables
  • Ensures each area is cleaned up after activities
  • Performs opening/closing roles, including: Driver; Monitor; Check-In; Morning Setup; End-of-Day Cleanup; and Child Supervision
  • Periodically works After Care (3-5pm daily), Family Night (Tuesdays 5-7pm), and Kids Night Out (Fridays and Saturdays 5-9pm)
  • Jr. Counselor (ages 14-16) and Senior Counselor (18+) positions are also available

Lifeguard

  • Season runs May-September
  • Supervises pool, enforces rules to ensure member safety, especially during Camp swim time
  • Rescues members in case of an emergency
  • Provides members with CPR/First-Aid if necessary
  • Works with Pool Servers to open/close pool
  • Evaluates campers to assign swim levels

Retail Shop Attendant

The Aquidneck Club is currently looking for an individual with an engaging personality, a desire to create an exceptional retail experience and the ability to work closely with members, guests and staff in our retail shop.

Expectations Include:

Creation of a warm and welcoming environment for members and guests

- Active and authentic involvement on sales floor, working to engage with members while identifying their needs

- Consistent, timely and effective communication with Director of Retail for special orders, low stock levels, damages and returns

- Maintaining visual displays, proactively keeping shop neat and organized, apparel folded/displayed properly

- Exemplary organizational, phone and follow up skills

- Develop a working knowledge of golf products and featured apparel/ shoe sizing

- Learn the JONAS software POS program, and be responsible for open/closing procedures

- Work closely with Golf Operations team during special events and tournaments

Member Services

Serve as receptionist for calls & emails and ensure member and guest arrival experience in clubhouse lobby.  Provide concierge level service to private club members.  Coordinate wellness spa, fitness center, pool and marina appointments.  Oversee reservations for club's transportation vehicle and club's on-site lodging & accommodations.

Housekeeper

Responsible for cleaning 30 private residences at the Clubhouse & Lodge. Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to: making beds, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, changing towels, re-arranging furniture, and attending to guest’s needs. Housekeepers must possess good cleaning skills, be able to work with basic cleaning chemicals, be dependable, work well with others, be willing to help other departments, be able to lift heavy objects, and always be pleasant towards members & guests. Additionally, housekeepers must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays and Evenings.

Rounds Chef

  • Assets in al a carte and function operations
  • Maintain a high-level of food quality and safety
  • Help train line cooks and prep cooks
  • Ability to work day and night shifts
  • Club experience is a plus
  • Culinary degree is preferred
  • Serve Safe required
  • Reports directly to Executive Chef

Job Type: Full-Time / Seasonal

Line Cook

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow Executive Chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Follow food safety precautions and regulations
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers

Bartender

Ideal candidates will be energetic, highly motivated, and have a passion for hospitality where pleasing our members comes naturally. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking skills, and be willing to work as part of a team.

A minimum of 2 years of previous casual fine dining bartender experience is preferred. Candidates must be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. We require our bartending staff to hold an alcohol safety certification in RI.

Server

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent multitasking skills, and be willing to work as part of a team.  A minimum of 2 years of previous casual fine dining server experience is preferred. Candidates must be flexible and able to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. We require our server staff to hold an alcohol safety certification.

Host/ Hostess

Presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host/Hostess also greet members upon arrival, inform members of their wait time, monitor a reservation list, enter members names into the computer system, show members to their table and bid members farewell as they leave.

Experience – preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.

Buser

Responsible for bussing, cleaning and properly resetting tables. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitors dining room tables to ensure they meet or exceed standards (i.e. proper table symmetry, non-streaked glassware, etc.)
  • Prepares tables for each party of members by removing dirty dishes and linens, sweeping the floor and wiping seats around the table, and resetting the table
  • Assist servers in pre-bussing tables, as needed
  • Assists other employees and members as needed to ensure teamwork.
  • Transports clean dishware from the dish area to ensure adequate supplies remain on hand during shift.
  • Fills ice bins with ice and empties trash as needed.
  • Preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.

Expo

Managing all incoming tickets from the servers and communicating with kitchen staff on orders. • Running food to tables according to seat numbers. • Restocking, cleaning, and organization of expo and to go area.

Experience – preferably 1 year in a casual fine dining establishment however, we are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.
